What is Vedic Astrology? 

Vedic astrology, otherwise called Vēdānga or Indian astrology, is an old science which manages the investigation of divine bodies and their impact over human life. The word 'Vēdānga' itself demonstrates that astrology has its underlying foundations and is a basic piece of the Vēdās. The scholarly interpretation of Vēdānga is 'the appendage of Vēdās'. Mankind has, from days of yore, maintained the conviction that astrology has a significant impact over the development of living creatures and a mind-blowing course. History affirms the nearness of crystal gazers in Babylonia as ahead of schedule as 3000 BC. Yet, astrology had created as a science in India much before this. It is accepted that old sacred texts like Sūrya Siddhāntha and Vēdānga Jyothisham are over 5000 years of age. Vedas are separated into six sections:

1. Shiksha – A fundamental investigation of Vedic components and their right articulation

2. Chhanda – Learning the right articulation of Vedic suktās.

3. Vyākaraṇa – Helps to gain proficiency with the linguistic angle.

4. Nirukta – Useful in understanding the troublesome words, pādās and mantrās.

5. Kalpa – Helps to grasp the ceremonial part of vēdas.

6. Jyothisham or Astrology – The eyes of Vēdas, empowering to see the past, present and what's to come.
